Submission Guidelines

This website is used to accept manuscripts for all four imprints of WindRiver Publishing, Inc.

These four imprints each deal with non-overlapping genres. Whether you submit online or as hard copy, the imprint will be determined based on the genre you assign for your project. We do not accept submissions via email. Our preferred submission method is via our online form. However, if you prefer to submit your proposal as hard copy, please follow these instructions.

• Submit a cover letter that includes all of the required information shown on our online form. If you choose, you can fill out the form, then click "Format for Printing" and print the resulting web page.
• You must select a genre from our list. Proposals for other genres will be rejected automatically.
• Please avoid using decorative fonts.
• Projects should be printed with 1" margins and double-spaced.
• We prefer to receive sample chapters for our initial review rather than a complete manuscript. For more information about this, please read our FAQ
• One of the sample chapters must be the first chapter or introduction.

Hardcopy submissions will not be returned without a SASE.

Trumpet Media's editorial staff reviews submissions as quickly as they can. Generally, we will review project proposals in 2–3 months. However, the workload can vary depending on our project release schedule and the time of year. Please allow six (6) months for our editors to complete their review. Query letters submitted as hard copy are generally reviewed in 1–2 months. In rare circumstances reviews can take more time. If you have not heard from us in seven months concerning your project proposal or ten weeks concerning your query, please contact us using the appropriate imprint contact page to learn when your project has been scheduled. Trumpet Media will not accept works that contain gratuitous sex, violence, or profanity. Details concerning this policy can be viewed by clicking this link.
